Swimsuit fabric is delicate and should be treated with special care. Look after your swimmers and they will last you for a really long time!



To keep your swimmers in shipshape condition, follow these simple instructions:

1. Rinse your swimmers with clean, cold water after each wear. A quick and easy way to do this is to rinse them in the shower with you!
2. Hand wash your swimmers using gentle soap or shampoo (again, quick to do in the shower!)

3. Rinse soap out using cold water.

4. Gently squeeze out excess water by hand.
5. Hang your swimmers to dry out of direct sunlight.


(We all know that it’s tempting to pop swimmers in the washing machine from time to time. Whilst we don’t recommend doing this, if you are going to succumb to the temptation, ensure you select a gently cycle and mild detergent.)

Please note…hot water will dissolve the fibres in your swimmers more quickly, wear it down and turn some colours yellow. Avoid too many dips in the spa/hot springs. It's best to save your "least favourite" swimmers for occasions such as this.

Sustainability is important to us. That’s why we have selected a beautifully thick and supportive European swimwear fabric that is made from discarded, recycled fishing nets!
 Fabric is 78% recycled nylon / 22% Lycra.
 Our fabric is resistant to sunscreen and oils, has great shape retention, offers UV protection and is soft and breathable! In short...it's divine!

 We love change! Our unique mix 'n match philosophy is: more variety and more opportunity for amazing mix 'n match combinations. Once a particular colour sells out, we are unlikely to restock so that we can make way for exciting new designs! But you never know...sometimes we just love a colour so much that we might decide to do a sneaky restock. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram where we will share news of restocks as they (might!) happen. Basically, if you love something - get it now because it might not make a return in the future!

All pre-orders are advertised with estimated dispatch dates. From time to time, this dispatch date will be altered due to reasons beyond our control. Please be patient with us as we take care to ethically produce and sew your swimmers. Trust us, they are worth the wait!

We accept unworn swimwear and clothing bought from Sheila May Swim in new condition (unworn, unwashed) within 30 days of your order being fulfilled for exchange or a store credit
- Returns requests must be made via our Returns Portal within 30 days of your order being fulfilled.

All purchases made in 'Last Pieces' sales are final. They are not eligible for exchange or store credit. 

During a major storewide sale, all sales of items discounted by 20% can only be returned for a store credit. We are unable to offer exchanges during a major storewide sale, so please reach out for advice and consult our sizing charts and product descriptions carefully.

Store credits will be processed within 5 business days of your parcel being returned. You will receive your store credit via email. If it has been more than 5 business days since receiving confirmation of your returned item being received, please email us to follow up.

Orders under $200 = Flat rate $10
International (including NZ): Orders over $250 = Free postage / Orders under $250 = Flat rate $10

Orders within Australia will take approximately 5-7 business days to arrive. Express Post within Australia will take approximately 1-5 business days to arrive. International orders can take up to 4 weeks to arrive. (Please note that these times are estimations only. Yes! Any customs or import duties are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. We are unable to predict the charges, and the recipient is liable for the payment of import duties, customs and local sales tax. Contact your local customs office for more information on potential charges. In case of an order being returned to Sheila May Swim as a result of taxes not being paid, Sheila May Swim will not refund the order to the customer.

We ship all over the world! Please ensure you type in the correct address during checkout. Please familiarise yourself with your country's import fees and taxes prior to placing your order.
