There are florals… and then there’s Velvet Meadows.
Rich, colourful and absolutely packed with detail, Velvet Meadows is the kind of print you can look at over and over again and still find something new. Tiny flowers tumble across a deep background in a beautiful mix of pinks, purples, blues, greens and warm pops of colour.

Velvet Meadows was created by Austrian artist Sandra Hutter, whose beautiful artwork is at the heart of our latest Sheila May Swim collection.
We fell in love with Sandra’s use of colour and her ability to bring so much personality and movement into a print. Her work has that wonderful hand-drawn quality we adore - nothing feels too perfect or too polished, and that’s exactly what makes it so special.
Velvet Meadows is such a gorgeous example of that.
Up close you can appreciate all those beautiful little individual details, but from a distance they come together into this rich, colourful floral that looks AMAZING on swimwear.
If you’re someone who usually gravitates towards florals, we think you’re going to love this one.
But we also think Velvet Meadows might surprise a few Sheilas who don’t normally consider themselves “floral people”.
The darker background makes all that colour feel grounded and gives the print a completely different feel to a traditional bright summer floral. It’s got depth. It’s got personality. And it looks incredible alongside our solid colours when you want to mix things up.
Wear Velvet Meadows top to bottom for the full floral moment, or mix it with a solid bottom and let the print do the talking.
That’s the beauty of mix ’n match - there are no rules here.
We’ve always believed swimmers should make you feel GOOD.
They should be comfortable enough to actually swim in, chase kids in, walk down the beach in and spend the whole day wearing.
But we also think they should bring a little joy when you put them on.
And Velvet Meadows does exactly that.
It’s colourful. It’s interesting. It’s beautifully different.
